Vampires are one of the oldest legends known to man. Vampire-like creatures have existed in various cultures and religions for millennia; but vampires hit the big time around the 18th century when southeastern Europe started documenting cultural traditions as part of their recorded history. We all know the big names: Dracula, Nosferatu, Edward Cullen; but a lot of us don’t know the origin story that these guys had to go through to get where they are now.
